HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE MY EV?

Charging times vary depending on the type of charger, battery size, and current charge level. With a DC fast charger, it can take approximately 20 minutes. A standard AC charger on the other hand may take several hours.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO CHARGE MY EV?
This will depend on your daily driving habits. Some people prefer to top up each night, others may fully charge the vehicle when the battery is low. Our recommendation is to maintain battery charge at 20%-80% to help reduce wear and extend battery lifespan.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CHARGE AN EV?
Factors like electricity rates, time of charge, and the efficiency of your EV all play a role in charging costs. Charging overnight during off-peak hours can significantly lower expenses, especially if your energy provider offers discounted EV rates.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEVEL 1, 2 & 3 CHARGERS?

Level 1 chargers use a standard household outlet (240V AC) and are simplest to use, but they charge your EV quite slowly.

 

Level 2 chargers require installation by a licensed professional and use a dedicated 240V single or three-phase AC electrical circuit so upgrades to your current infrastructure may be required. They provide much faster charging times, and offer a wide range of charging speeds.

 

Level 3 chargers (known as DC fast chargers) are usually found in public charging stations. They can charge an EV much faster than Level 1 or 2 chargers, adding hundreds of miles of range in under an hour.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AC AND DC CHARGING?
Alternating Current (AC) charging uses standard household electricity. Direct Current (DC) charging delivers electricity directly to the battery, allowing much faster charging. Due to their higher power requirements, DC fast chargers are typically found at public or commercial charging stations.

Absolutely. Geely offers a range of home charging options to suit your needs. From basic to smart chargers, available in both single and three-phase configurations. Installation solutions are also available or customers can simply purchase the charger. Please note chargers and installation services are not included with your vehicle and incur additional costs. Your access will be limited to the remote vehicle control and status available on the Geely App. You will not be able to stream media or download until the data is reset at the end of that month.
